Microchip Program
Chip Spay
Many, many cats and dogs end up at the shelters and rescue organizations because there is no way to identify their owners. Collars and tags help, but they may come off or can be easily removed if the pet is stolen. Microchipping your pets is the best way to ensure they find their way back to you! A recent internet story told of a dog, lost for many months and many miles away, whose microchip was finally recognized by a shelter and he was returned.CPA offers microchipping for your pets at most events and through our mobile microchip program. Depending on your location, one of our volunteers, Kelli, will come to your home. CPA uses the 24PetWatch microchips. The cost is $25 for the microchip implant and registration. Call 805 482-6587 to arrange a home appointment.
